God has given us all we need to trust and obey Him.
Proper mental health starts with trusting God.
God said that He made us to be like trees. When we are connected to Him, we’re like a tree that is planted by a flowing stream—we have nourishment and we produce beautiful fruit. When we aren’t connected to Him, we’re like a tree drying out in a desert—we wither and produce bad fruit. At Queen City Biblical Counseling, we discover where our lives are disconnected from Jesus and then spend time with Him getting connected.
A Biblical approach
Much of what current psychology says runs against the teaching of Scripture. At Queen City Biblical Counseling, we start our conversation with what God has said in His Word—the Bible—because we want to know what God says about our lives. When we understand what God says about Himself, ourselves, and others, we have the right foundation for obeying Him and living a life that is full of joy.
FAQs

Biblical Counseling is counseling care that is rooted and built upon the truths of Scripture and upon the rock of Jesus Christ. At Queen City Biblical Counseling, all of our counseling is grounded and directed by what God has said in His Son Jesus Christ and the truth He has provided us in His Word—the Bible.

Biblical Counseling is an approach to helping people that starts with what God says about Himself, about us as humans, and about the world around us. Modern Psychotherapy often oversteps its limits when it denies the existence and Lordship of God, the reality of the human soul, and the solution to our problems to be centered in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God tells us in the Bible all we need to know to find hope and peace in Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:3).

Unfortunately we do not take insurance. We do partner with churches and other parties who might be able to help with some of the costs of counseling care.

No. Whatever you believe about God, yourself, and the world around you, Jesus wants to come alongside you, tell you the truth about Himself, and help you find healing, wholeness, rest, and joy in Him. If you don’t believe in God or in the forgiving work of Jesus when we start talking, maybe you will when we reach the end of our time together.
